The event opened with a student-made commemorative video documenting daily campus learning moments such as seminar exchanges, thesis drafting and routine teacher-student conversations, which also featured well-wishes from alumni, faculty and junior students. Following the video screening, CTER Director Professor Zhu Xudong delivered a commencement speech, recognizing graduates’ consistent academic dedication and offering practical career guidance for their future work in the education sector. After the address, faculty and graduates took group photos to capture teacher-student bonds before the cohort’s departure. Two student representatives then took the floor to share their learning journeys: Manda Kisimba Benjamin, a 2022 intake international PhD student majoring in Teacher Education, recounted his cross-cultural research experience, while Wang Jiacheng, a 2023 academic master’s student in Teacher Education, talked through his overall academic training process. A series of student performances followed the sharing session, including the poem recital I Love Setting Off presented by Class 1 students from the 2025 Master of Subject Teaching intake, the duet Suzhou River performed by 2025 academic master’s students Wang Jingwen and Liu Yihan, and a closing bilingual poem titled From Hello to Goodbye, recited by two international PhD students from the 2022 cohort.

The event concluded successfully, with official congratulations extended to every member of the 2026 graduating class.
