On January 12th，2020, the seminar with the topic of " The Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" teaching stuff cultivation planning and top-notch teacher education discipline construction was held in Beijing Normal University. 

Ren Youqun, the director of the Department of Teacher Work of the Ministry of Education, attended the meeting and made a special report focusing on the curial issues about “teacher” and “teacher education, which are related to teacher training and normal students training.  

Professor Zhu Xudong, Director of the Teacher Education Research Center of Beijing Normal University (Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences for Universities, Ministry of Education) putted forward three major tasks for the construction of sub-centers, focusing on three aspects: academic research, policy consulting and social services.

Professor Songhuan, the deputy director of the center and Professor Liqiong, the executive deputy director of the center conduct a detailed introduction about the sub-centers construction whose establishment is one of the strategic measures for the Teacher Education Research Center of Beijing Normal University to “uptake the national strategic needs and implement the front-line needs”.

The center is the organizer of this seminar and other delegations both from the center and the sub-center attended the seminar.
