Expert Guidance Session for Postdoctoral General Program Proposals Concludes Successfully

To enhance the quality of research project proposals submitted by young faculty and postdoctoral researchers, the Center for Teacher Education Research (CTER) at Beijing Normal University hosted an expert guidance session for the Postdoctoral General Program on the morning of March 23.

The event invited three distinguished experts to provide targeted and in-depth guidance: Professor Li Liguo from the School of Education at Tsinghua University, Professor Xue Eryong from the Faculty of Education at Beijing Normal University, and Professor Yi Lingyun from the Institute of Teacher Development at the Chinese Academy of Educational Sciences. Professor Li Qiong, Executive Deputy Director of CTER, Professor Yuan Li, Dean of the Institute of Teacher Education, prospective postdoctoral applicants and doctoral students attended the meeting, which was chaired by Deputy Head Liao Wei.
Four in-residence postdoctoral researchers—Han Jinzhi, Wang Wei, Xu Xingzi and Zhang Jinghui—presented their respective projects, elaborating on research background, core questions, research design and expected outcomes. The experts listened closely to each presentation and offered detailed, one-on-one comments and guidance. Leveraging their academic expertise, they provided practical, actionable revision suggestions aligned with proposal writing norms and evaluation criteria, covering topic positioning, logical structure, academic writing, research methodologies and technical approaches. For each project, the experts identified key issues and clarified clear optimization directions, delivering precise guidance for proposal refinement.
In her concluding remarks, Professor Li Qiong expressed sincere gratitude to the experts and urged all applicants to thoroughly review the expert feedback and conduct rigorous revisions to their proposals.
This guidance meeting is a regular initiative of CTER, embodying its commitment to organized scientific research and its structured mechanism for guiding, motivating and nurturing research talent. By engaging renowned experts from across the sector for targeted guidance, the center effectively supports the professional growth of its research team. Moving forward, CTER will organize a series of seminars, proposal polishing sessions and expert guidance events for other research grant applications, and continue to provide full-cycle research support services. These efforts will further consolidate the research foundation for disciplinary development and the long-term growth of CTER.
