The Construction of New Systems for Teachers in “Three Regions and Three States”
In June, 2018, sponsored by Beijing Normal University and undertook by BNU Education Department and the Center of Teacher Education and Research, the Humanities and Social Science Research Base in Institutions of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education, “Teacher Enlightenment · the Program of Fertile Ground” - The Construction of NewSystems for Teachers in “Three Regions and Three States” as well as the Advanced Research and Study Program for teachers’ professional capacities (in the following simplified as ‘Program’), with financial aid from BNU Foundation, He Foundation in Guang Dong province and Tian Jiabing Foundation, was formally set in motion. It is a large-scale charitable activity for Precision Help for teacher education in China, aiming at cultivating local education professionals from old revolutionary base areas, ethnic districts, frontier settlements and poverty-stricken regions in virtue of two routes for both improvement in institutional capacities of teachers’ education and competencies of teacher educators in districts and counties. Based on the status quo of teachers’ education in schools or regions to which the educated teachers belong, this program, with adoption of a kaleidoscope of means like topic-style research and discussion, field exploration and cross-area communication, establishes teams of local teacher educators and refines local institutions for teacher education. Framework of new systems for teacher education in districts and counties is set as well. So is inner growth momentum of teacher education in districts boosted, going a long way towards Precision Help for teacher education.
