课程简介:
This course introduces different theories and approaches in second language acquisition/learning and explores their application in second language classrooms. Key factors, such as the role of the first language, age, gender, motivation, identity, and agency, will be explored from three different perspectives, namely the psycholinguistic perspective, the sociocultural perspective, and the critical perspective. Course participants will be involved in a variety of learning activities (e.g., lecturing, discussion, group presentation, joint lesson planning, and individual reflection) to critically examine both theoretical and pedagogical issues concerning second language learning and learners and develop their professional knowledge as prospective language teachers.
