课程简介：

This course is required of all first-year PhD candidates in Teacher Education (English program). It is designed to introduce new doctoral students to the field of teacher education research and/or teacher studies. The course will guide students in identifying a researchable problem, designing a research proposal in appropriate technical form. The course is taught by several faculty members, and thus it may focus on different aspects of research paradigm and domains. Instructors will engage students in conversations about the stages of research development (e.g., generating research ideas, choosing research methods, building a research agenda, developing a research proposal). Students will generate research proposals (or revise proposals developed for doctoral candidates application) and present them at the end of the course.
