课程简介:
In recent years there has been increasing interest in broadening the scope and applicability of education research beyond basic indicators such as variable and reliability, and beyond the confines of structured surveys. Influences for these changes include:
Recognition of anthropological studies and how they can enhance understanding of why people act in the ways they do and how this affects their behavior
Acknowledgment of the validity of participant perspectives
Concern to explore education interventions that involve multiple strategies in specific context over variable time frames which do not lend themselves to conventional research designs
Recognition that qualitative research methods can play a role in enhancing evidence-based practice
Qualitative research methods provide a mechanism for understanding how people interpret education practice and for involving people in decisions about education. Qualitative research techniques can allow for complexity and diversity, and permit rigorous investigations that do no strip away the contexts within which education beliefs and behavior occur.
The course of Qualitative Research Method aims to support students:
To master the rationale of the qualitative research methods;
To get to know the general process and issues of qualitative research;
To prepare you for the proposal defense in November, and
To be able to apply the qualitative methods to your study in the future.
