The contents of the source include three cumulative sections. In Section 1, students will explore theoretical underpinnings of teacher learning and development. In section 2, students will examine pre-service teachers’ learning and development. In section 3, students will track down in-service teachers’ continuing learning and development. Students in this course will have opportunities to engage with the instructor, the contents, and fellow students through various forms of learning activities, such as mini-lectures, round-table discussions, small-group tasks, and a problem-based inquiry project that will facilitate students’ applications of newly acquired knowledge and skills in this course to address a practical problem in teacher education that they select according to their own interests at the beginning of the course. The instructor may also launch a collaborative writing for publishing project, depending on the specific design of the course for a certain semester and the interest and availability of both the instructor and the students.
